BIOGRAPHY:
I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting in 1985. Prior to graduate school, I won the grand prize in the Northwest Arkansas Artists Juried Exhibition, which resulted in the U of A purchasing my winning art work for it's permanent collection. This gave me the incentive to pursue the aforementioned master's degree.
After marrying in 1976 and then my two beautiful kids coming along in '85 and 88, my art focus turned to singing/songwriting, after completing scheduled exhibits in Fayetteville, AR and a six-man show (Six Artists West of the Mississippi River) in the De Graaf International Fine Art Gallery (now Armstrong De Graaf International Fine Art) in Chicago.
I have pursued music for many years now, recorded 5 albums of Americana music and am still very active in the music world, with my newest full album release, “My Heart Plays These Songs”, in 2024.
But then, in 2023. I started sketching/drawing again and eventually, in December 2024, I started painting with acrylics, which is a new medium for me.
On this page, you'll see the results of this new, acrylic endeavor and more as they are completed.
Have a seat, get comfortable and let's begin.
Much Love,
Effron White
