Award-winning Americana singer/songwriter, Effron White, is working on a brand new album in Nashville, TN, recording at the legendary Cowboy Jack's "Cowboy Arms Hotel And Recording Spa", where many of Nashville's well loved artists have recorded. Artists such as Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Waylon Jennings, Chet Atkins, Billy Burnette, Chris Gantry, Shawn Camp, and many others.
It was Camp who introduced White to the Cowboy Arms when recording first started in 2020. Like many things, the pandemic changed up original plans and put the recording on hold until 2021.
White is taking a different approach to recording and co-producing this album with his manager and fellow musician, Lauren Blaine. "I'm a big fan of Bob Dylan" White says. "In studying the way he approaches recording, I like the live and natural way he records. I've made 4 other albums, with great producers, and each recording has it's own, unique flavor. I'm working on this one in the hopes of representing the songs in the most alive and spontaneous way we can."
Most of the new songs have been written as recently as 2021, but a few are treasures he's been performing for years..
Long time "EFFRON-ites" will be pleasantly surprised with the newer tunes, some of which are titled, "A Sailor's Song", "High Waylon Highway", "In Tennessee", "Borderline", "Living to Learn", "Jenni's Flying", "Big L Love" and "Have You Seen Me Lately?". Effron has played some of these for his fans at his live shows to enthusiastic responses.
The question of this new album IS, "Have You Seen Me Lately?", hence the title. We believe you're going to like what you see...and hear.
