Last night I saw the ghost of Jimi Hendrix
He donned a black cloak of voodoo magic

But his eyes acknowledged my presence
He just smiled as smoke escaped from his nostrils
Like a dragon breathing fire
Miraculously out of nowhere appeared an angel with a
1967 Fender Stratocaster
Jimi took the ax in his monstrous hands
And there ensued a supernatural electric fury
Those were the notes that awakened my sleeping spirit
Jimi’s gone but those stars keep on shining
Just like they did so many years ago
Back when we were young and free and running wild
Sounds of revolution, rebellion, and hope…Where’s hope?
